Kitsune Mask 3D Printer Files

$4+

A mask I made based on a character I saw in a dream once.

Designed to print on an FDM filament 3D printer. Mask may require tweaking to print properly on a resin printer.

Recommended printer settings:

  • 0.2mm layer height
  • Filament: PLA
  • 10% infill
  • Tree supports (slicing may take longer, but it's worth it)
  • Build Plate Adhesion: Brim (width 8.0mm)
  • Speed: 60mm/s

Rules

Do not redistribute any of the files contained in the folder.

Do not mass produce and sell masks or the files.

The files you buy are for you, and you only.

Tips

After printing, use a smoothing method to get a more professional appearance. I recommend the UV resin smoothing technique if you're using PLA.

The biggest holes on the sides of the mask is where the elastic band goes. Remember: sewing is often times stronger than gluing!

Use a primer on the smoothed mask before beginning to paint your designs, this will make the paint stick much better and help you to achieve a more even looking paint job.

The eye holes are in the eyebrows as this helps the wearer look more fox-like. To hide your eyes and give the kitsune its eyebrows, use a see-through fabric like chiffon. If your chosen fabric is too thin and lets viewers see the wearer's eyes from behind the mask, fold over the fabric until they are hardly visible (Be careful though! There needs to be a balance between not being seen and being able to see)

Have fun out there! Good luck on your mask making!
